East London IDZ Experiential Learning Opportunities 2025

The East London Industrial Development Zone (ELIDZ) SOC Ltd, a state-owned enterprise in the Eastern Cape, invites undergraduate students to apply for its Experiential Learning Opportunities 2025.
This programme forms part of South Africa’s Special Economic Zones (SEZ) initiative, which aims to attract investment, boost economic growth, and empower young people with real-world industry experience.
ELIDZ’s training placements offer students the chance to gain the practical exposure required to complete their qualifications and prepare for successful careers in key economic sectors.
About the Programme
The experiential learning placements run for 3 to 18 months, depending on the requirements of the student’s higher learning institution.
Each placement provides structured workplace experience, mentorship, and skill development aligned with industry standards to help learners build confidence, competence, and employability.
Available Fields of Exposure

Candidate Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Be currently enrolled at an accredited tertiary institution in a relevant field.
- Provide an approved Request for Experiential Training Letter from their institution.
- Submit a complete academic record (priority will be given to top-performing students).
- Be South African citizens (preference for those residing in Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality).
- Be under 35 years of age.
- Students with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

- A comprehensive CV.
- A certified copy of ID.
- A full academic record.
- An Approved Request for Experiential Training Letter.
