Now that the Special COVID-19 SRD Grant is open, SASSA has provided 3 ways to apply. One of which is by using your WhatsApp Application. Let’s see how you can achieve this below.
STEP 1: Install the WhatsApp Application
- For Android Phones: Open Google Play Store and install WhatsApp
- For Apple Phones: Open AppStore and install WhatsApp.
STEP 2: Application Via WhatsApp
Step 3: Send a message to 082 046 8553 in order to initiate the process.
Step 4: You must provide personal details as prompted by the chat.
Step 5: Then, you will receive a Reference number, an OTP number and website link to click on.
Step 6: Click on the link; insert the OTP number and click verify.
Step 7: Provide your surname and ID number.
Step 8: Confirm details as per details provided on the chat.
