Lesaka APEX Graduate Programme 2027 Opens Fintech, AI, Finance and Risk Careers

Final-year students and graduates can apply for the Lesaka APEX Graduate Programme 2027 in Johannesburg, with permanent employment from the first day and an 18-month development journey across fintech, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data, finance, risk and commercial strategy.
APEX is Lesaka Technologies’ Future Leaders Accelerator. Instead of joining on a temporary graduate contract, successful candidates become permanent Lesaka employees with a defined role, a line manager and real business responsibilities.
Applications close on 30 October 2026.
How does the APEX Graduate Programme work?
The programme runs for 18 months while you work in a permanent position within Lesaka.
Your development will combine your day-to-day role with broader exposure to the organisation’s businesses, customers, markets and operations.
You can expect to build capability in:
- Professional skills
- Functional expertise
- Commercial thinking
- Strategic thinking
- Technology
- Artificial intelligence
- Communication
- Collaboration
- Leadership
- Personal effectiveness
The programme is designed around doing real work rather than moving between training sessions without business responsibility.
Are you permanently employed from the start?
You will join Lesaka as a permanent employee from day one.
You will have:
- A permanent role
- A line manager
- Business deliverables
- Responsibility for real work

This can expose you to the controls, technologies and security practices used to protect high-volume financial transactions.
What will a Data Analyst do?
Data Analysts will work with fintech data at scale and help convert information into useful insights.
This type of work can involve identifying trends, investigating business questions and supporting better decisions across products, customers and operations.
It is particularly relevant to graduates who enjoy combining analytical thinking with technology and commercial problems.
What does the Developer / Business Analyst role involve?

You can contribute to the development of new fintech solutions while learning how customer needs and business problems are translated into technology.
