Nexio is seeking South African unemployed graduates to apply for the Finance / Accounting Internship Programme for 2024. As the Graduate Management Accountant, your primary objective will be to support the Management Accountant in managing the month-end process, variance analysis, preparation of monthly Business Unit packs, performance reports, and group reporting to Vodacom.
The role also involves supporting the financial planning function by providing input and insights into budgeting and forecasting through collaboration with Functional Unit Heads.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all executive and senior stakeholders. This role suits an individual who pays attention to detail, is accurate, has great problem-solving abilities, and can work independently.

Position Title: Graduate Management Accountant
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly financial performance reports and metrics.
- Analyze and interrogate sales data for accurate reporting, and collaborate with commercial and sales teams.
- Prepare monthly Business Performance packs and presentations for all Functional Unit Heads (BU, Regions, Contracts, Projects & Cost Centres).
- Prepare detailed weekly forecasts, analyze sources of information, and interact with commercial, sales, billing, and project management teams.
- Assist in the compilation and management of the yearly budget process (LRP and SRP) end-to-end, collaborating with all Business Units.
- Prepare budget packs for Vodacom.
- Develop an operating expense dashboard for cost monitoring.
- Manage all ad-hoc tasks requested by the CFO office.
- Assist in the implementation of a new ERP system.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate/Postgraduate BCom in:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Management Accounting
- CIMA learner
Advantageous:
- 0-1 years’ experience in a Management Accountant role within the ICT sector.
- Experience in a Financial Reporting role.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with Sage X3.
