Purpose of the Internship:
The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is dedicated to youth skills development by providing opportunities for graduates to gain practical work experience. The internship is available to unemployed graduates aged 18 to 23, offering them exposure to the Medical Management Department.
Work-Based Exposure May Include:
- Conducting medical assessments and compiling injury assessment reports.
- Escalating complex cases for multi-disciplinary review and adjudication.
- Maintaining documentation and regularly updating the exception handling process.
- Assessing and reviewing bills on submitted claims, focusing on care level, stay length, and care quality.
- Handling correspondence and providing feedback.
- Reporting on emerging risks and offering ad hoc reports on process improvement initiatives.
- Managing complaints and liaising with relevant stakeholders.
- Following up and providing feedback to all stakeholders to update them on query status.
- Responding to queries within predefined turnaround times.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified Grade 12/NQF 4 level certificate.
- Certified copy of National Diploma/B Degree/Advanced Diploma in Health Science or a Medical-related qualification.
- Certified copy of your ID.
- Certified copy of Academic transcript (Applications without a transcript will be eliminated).
- Your CV and a motivational letter.
