The role sits within Libstar’s manufacturing and distribution operations and combines dispatch, receiving, inventory control, stock transfers, order picking and food-safety compliance.

Applications close on 6 November 2026.

What will you do as a Warehouse Clerk?

The position supports both dispatch and receiving activities.

You can expect to:

  • Check and print delivery notes
  • Complete due-diligence documentation
  • Inform production about short orders
  • Escalate problems quickly
  • Dispatch goods correctly
  • Operate forklifts and reach trucks
  • Pick raw materials and finished goods
  • Maintain inventory accuracy
  • Conduct stock counts
  • Process purchase order receipts
  • Build raw material pallets
  • Process warehouse transfers
  • Capture interbranch transfers
  • Pick and dispatch orders
  • Maintain accurate system records

The role requires close attention to stock movement from receiving through to final dispatch.

How does dispatch form part of the job?

Dispatch responsibilities include making sure outgoing orders are correct and properly recorded.

You may need to:

  • Check delivery notes
  • Confirm order information
  • Pick the correct stock
  • Verify quantities
  • Dispatch goods
  • Capture dispatch activity in the system

Accuracy is important because errors can affect customers, transport schedules and stock records.

What will you do when receiving stock?

Receiving work can include:

  • Processing Purchase Order Receipts
  • Checking incoming stock
  • Building pallets
  • Recording stock in the system
  • Decanting containers
  • Moving stock to the correct locations

You will also need to keep warehouse records accurate as stock moves through the facility.

What is FEFO?

FEFO means First Expired, First Out.

It is a stock-rotation method where products with the earliest expiry dates are selected first.

The Warehouse Clerk will need to follow FEFO when picking:

  • Raw materials
  • Finished goods

This is particularly important in food manufacturing because it helps reduce waste and supports product quality.

How important is inventory accuracy?

Inventory control is a major part of the role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining correct stock locations
  • Conducting daily stock counts
  • Completing stock takes
  • Recording warehouse transfers
  • Capturing interbranch transfers
  • Checking that system records match physical stock

Strong inventory accuracy helps prevent shortages, overstocking and dispatch errors.

Which system will you use?

The role uses the TransLution system for several warehouse processes.

You may use it to:

  • Capture stock transfers
  • Confirm decanted containers
  • Complete stock takes
  • Record interbranch transfers
  • Pick orders
  • Capture dispatches

Previous exposure to warehouse systems can therefore be useful.

Will you operate warehouse machinery?

Yes. Applicants need valid licences for:

  • Forklift
  • Reach Truck

You will be expected to operate this equipment responsibly and help ensure that machinery is properly looked after.

What food-safety responsibilities apply?

Because Amaro Foods operates in food manufacturing, warehouse work must comply with food-safety requirements.

You will need to follow:

  • Food safety regulations
  • Allergen-control procedures
  • Housekeeping standards
  • Pest-control requirements
  • Personal hygiene checks

The role also requires compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements.

Who can apply?

Applicants need:

  • Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
  • 24 to 36 months of warehouse experience
  • Forklift licence
  • Reach Truck licence
  • Knowledge of stores handling procedures

This is therefore suited to candidates who already have practical warehouse experience rather than first-time entrants.

What skills will help you succeed?

Useful skills include:

  • Stock control
  • Dispatch
  • Receiving
  • Inventory management
  • Picking
  • Pallet handling
  • Forklift operation
  • Reach Truck operation
  • System accuracy
  • Documentation
