Electrical Engineering applicants need a BSc or BEng Degree in Electrical Engineering and the same Grade 12 subjects.

The IT programme is aimed at graduates with a Software Development qualification.

Applicants should have exposure to:

  • SQL Server
  • C#
  • Power BI
  • Dashboard development

The mix of software development and business intelligence skills makes this opportunity relevant to graduates interested in application development, databases, reporting and data-driven technology work.

The closing date for the IT opportunity is 31 August 2026.

Which business opportunities are available?

Applicants should apply for positions that match both their academic background and preferred location.

Young people with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should indicate their disability when completing the application.

Why can the YES Programme be useful?

The programme gives young people a chance to gain workplace experience in the field they studied.

For engineering graduates, that can mean exposure to technical projects and professional teams. IT graduates can build experience with software, databases and business intelligence tools, while business graduates can work in administration, procurement, logistics or project support.

The value comes from adding practical experience to an academic qualification, especially for graduates who have not yet had a chance to work in their field.
