What will you learn in Finance Asset Management?
You will gain practical experience inside the finance function responsible for managing institutional assets.
Asset management in a large organisation involves keeping accurate records of items owned and used by the institution, supporting financial controls and making sure asset information is properly maintained.
The internship can therefore help you apply your accounting knowledge to real financial processes rather than working only with academic examples.
How does asset management connect to accounting?
Assets form an important part of an organisation’s financial records.
They can include equipment, furniture, technology and other resources that need to be recorded and controlled correctly.
Your accounting background will help you understand areas such as:
- Asset records
- Financial documentation
- Accounting controls
- Reconciliations
- Record accuracy
- Supporting finance processes
- Compliance with internal procedures
This can give you a useful foundation for future work in accounting, asset control and financial administration.
Who can apply?

- You also need to be 35 years old or younger and must not have previous work experience.

This is particularly important in asset management, where records need to reflect what the organisation owns and where those assets are managed.
Which digital tools will you use?
You should be comfortable with Microsoft Office 365 and internet-based systems.
You may use digital tools to support:
