Brights Hardware General Assistant Opportunities Open at Stonewood Drive-Thru Yard

Brights Hardware is hiring five General Assistants for its Drive-Thru Yard at Stonewood in the Western Cape, with permanent entry-level opportunities focused on stock handling, customer service and yard operations.

If selected, you will help load customer vehicles and delivery trucks, prepare stock for transfers, keep the yard organised and make sure products are handled accurately.

What will you do in the drive-thru yard?

You will work directly with customers, delivery drivers and other staff using the yard.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Loading customer vehicles
• Loading delivery and transfer trucks
• Pulling stock for transfers
• Stacking stock correctly
• Counting stock
• Reporting shortages
• Reporting damaged stock
• Bagging stone and sand
• Supporting stocktakes
• Keeping the yard clean and organised

The aim is to keep the yard moving efficiently while making sure customers receive the correct products.

How important is stock accuracy?

Stock accuracy will be one of the most important parts of the position.

You will need to count products carefully, stack them correctly and report shortages or breakages when you find them.

You may also take part in ongoing stocktakes.

You will work directly with customers collecting products from the yard.
